On December 30, 2024, Niagara Falls Chapter proudly unveiled an America 250 plaque, purchased to honor the men and women who achieved American independence and to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, in 2026.

With the support of a grant received from the America 250 Committee, Niagara Falls Chapter not only purchased the plaque, but also the granite slab in which it is set.

This significant plaque will be placed at Greenwood Cemetery in Wilson, NY, where American Revolutionary War Patriot, John Hamblin, is buried. Hamblin served in the Massachusetts Line, Capt. Bacon's Company, in Col. Porter's Regiment. The official dedication ceremony will take place at the cemetery in June 2025.
